Do you have an Introductory offer for first timers?
Yes!!! Our intro offer is a great place to try out our group classes, including yoga and reformer. This offer gives you 5 classes for $55, only available once to new clients.
The introductory offer is non-refundable nor transferable and will activate from the date of your first class and valid for 2 weeks from your 1st booking.
Clients setting up multiple accounts to purchase this offer more than once will have the pack cancelled, accounts merged and a credit for the value remaining in their account. No refunds are offered.
Late Cancel
PIYO Studios has an 6-hour cancellation window. A late cancel or no show to class will result with a loss of the session. Unlimited members will be charged a $10 fee if cancelled within the 6-hour period. Please, if you think you won’t make it to a class, cancel as early as possible, as this allows others, who may be on the wait list, to get to come to the class.
Please note, cancellations can only be done via the studio bookings app, we do not accept cancellations via social media, text, voicemail, or email.
What happens if I book into a class but then become unwell or begin to have Covid symptoms?
We have an 6-hour cancellation window allowing you time to cancel your class if you are not feeling up to it. Cancellations outside of the 6-hour window are placed back into your account for next time. Cancellations within the 8-hour window are automatically taken from your pack. Unlimited members will be charged a $15 fee if cancelled within the 6-hour period.
We ask that if you have booked into a morning class and are feeling unwell before you go to bed, please cancel out of the class then. It frees that space up for someone who might be waitlisted. Please cancel your classes if you have any symptoms or have been in contact with anyone who has.
What do I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing. We recommend tights, leggings, or shorts and either a t-shirt or singlet top. You won’t require footwear for the class.
Should I wear grip socks during class?
We encourage wearing grip socks for an extra layer of cleanliness, it also helps to grip the reformer bed better with your feet, making it easier for you to do the exercises properly. Grip socks are available for purchase in the studio, but you are also welcome to bring your own grip socks.
Check in
If you are new, please arrive 10 minutes prior to class. We don’t have a full-time receptionist so please approach your trainer or alternatively wait for your instructor to come and get you from reception for your class. We will settle you in, show you around and if doing a reformer class explain the reformer beds to you. Doors will close as soon as class starts, so please do not be disappointed if entry to class is not permitted if you arrive late.
Can I still join the class if I’m running late?
Please try to arrive 5 minutes early to class so your trainer can check you in and help you get settled into class. Late arrivals may not be able to join the class due to safety reasons. For Yin Yoga the doors will be locked as soon as the class begins, there will be a strict no entry once the doors are locked, we don’t want to disturb anyone’s Zen state!
Newbie?
PIYO has absolutely no expectations of you. We will give you options, please do not feel as though you must do what everyone else is doing. Remember, everyone was once a beginner. Listen to your body and take breaks when you need them.
How do waitlists work?
If you have placed yourself on a waitlist, you can receive notifications anytime up to 1 hours prior to that class if a position becomes available. Our system will automatically put you in that class, so please respond to the email or text immediately if you cannot make it as no-shows will result in forfeiting that visit.
By adding yourself to the waitlist it is your responsibility to check if you have been added to the class. Please be mindful that if you are waitlisted for an early morning class as you may still be automatically added to a class overnight if a position becomes available. If you make the decision to not be available for the early morning class before you go to bed, please remove yourself from the waitlist.
Hot Tip: Ensure you have allowed communication via email AND text in the Studio Bookings App to ensure you are prompted asap and don’t miss a class.
What facilities do you offer?
We have a kitchen if you need to fill up your water bottle, and a bathroom where you can also change if you need to.
What How often should I attend classes?
Exercise is such a personal thing. How often you train will depend on your fitness level, how your body adapts to the workouts, and your fitness goals. Our trainers would be happy to assist you with these questions.
Are Private Classes available?
Private sessions can be organised outside group session hours. Please contact the studio to make some arrangements.
Can I transfer or share my class passes or membership?
Unfortunately, no. We are unable to transfer or share classes to a family member or friend. If you are unable to use your classes for medical or another reason, please contact us and we will find a solution for you.
Can I still do Pilates if I have an injury or recovering from one?
If you are injured in a way that effects your normal movement significantly, we recommend clearance from your Physiotherapist/ Osteopath/ GP before commencing classes. Please let your instructor know of any minor injuries you may have, whether they are new or old. We will ensure that you will practice safely and give you modifications to certain exercises. However, if your injury is of concern, please do not be offended if your instructor insists you seek medical advice before returning to another class.
I’m Pregnant, can I still attend classes?
You can attend all reformer classes up until you are 12 weeks along. After this however, due to the dynamic style of training you can only attend our Essentials reformer classes as they are pregnancy friendly or alternatively join our pre- and post-natal classes. We request that you discuss the suitability of practicing Reformer Pilates whilst pregnant with your doctor. If you get all clear, come join the appropriate classes! All Yin Yoga classes are suitable for pregnancy, please let your instructor know that you are pregnant so they can modify where appropriate.
Post-natal; How long before I can attend classes after birth?
We ask that you wait until after you receive all clear from your GP/Obstetrician check-up. Gradual exercise may begin 6 weeks after a ‘normal’ vaginal delivery or 8-10 weeks (with a medical clearance) after a caesarean delivery.
Age limit?
You must be 14 years or over to attend our classes. Our dynamic/high intensity classes are not suitable for young developing bodies. There is no upper age limit, we cater for everyone and every age, if you are wanting to keep your body moving, we can help!
Phones
We love a great Instagram pic, so please get snap happy (and tag us @piyostudio), but as soon as class has started, we have a strict no phones policy. Please do not have your phones on you during class. And please remember to either put your phone on silent or turn it off before class starts, as there is nothing more annoying than a phone ringing mid lunge or Savasana.
Client Parking
Please note the allocated customer parking is located directly to the left hand side as you enter the gates, please do not park in any spots that have numbers allocated to them as they are for staff and the other parking spaces directly next to them are for the other tenants.
There is also ample FREE parking on the street.

Vouchers are also available for collection from the studio, or we can mail them to you or your giftee. Please contact hello@piyostudios.com.au once you have purchased the voucher to advise how you wish to proceed.
